Having whiteheads sometimes build confusion whether it is due to the reason that our skin is unhealthy or just because we are not that keen in keeping our face pampered. Whiteheads are commonly seen in our face in some areas of our cheeks, nose, and even forehead.

The appearance of whiteheads causes panic to some people. And they have the reason to believe it is not healthy because whiteheads can become dirty to look especially if it grows in number. Some would even go far as much as seeing their dermatologist in the first sign of a whitehead.

One might say that having whiteheads is not the same as having acnes. Wrong. Whiteheads are also acnes but has a different appearance. Disregarding what whiteheads can do to your face is the same as disregarding a big, fat, and ugly acne.

Puberty has a lot to do with the way whiteheads pops out of nowhere. Same as with the acnes that we know, hormonal changes during this stage has a something to do with it. In the natural process of our body, oils are being emitted so as to discharge toxins and oils that are harmful to our body. And as we experience the transition in our body from being a kid to a teenage girl and boy, oils being secreted by our body changes as well-emitting more than the usual oil pattern.

With the excessive amount of oils that are being discharge, then the clogging of pores now happen. Blockage of oils in the pores of our face will eventually prevent other emission of toxins and oils, producing whiteheads as an after effect.

Getting rid of whiteheads is very easy, but most of the time, we are blinded by certain products such as cosmetics and facial cleansers that will worsen the condition. It might be that the products that we put on could be the reason behind the growing of whiteheads.

Carefully choosing cosmetics is one way of preventing whiteheads. Oil based cosmetics is very effective way to have whiteheads. So if you dont want whiteheads, then do not buy that kind of product. Asking help from a professional is also a good thing to do especially if you are not sure what to use or buy.

Just as you think that taking care of your face is as expensive as buying a car, think again. Cleansing your face before going to bed can do an extra mile in helping it be blemish free skin.

2. Clean your face with a salicylic acid in the troubled areas.

3. Benzoyl peroxide is proven to be the most effect non-prescription acne treatment available. I would recommend starting with 5% rather than 10% because it is just as effective and will lower the risk of your skin being excessively dry or peeling.

4. Water is the miracle cure; by drinking eight twelve ounce glasses a day can clear your skin fairly quickly.

5. Do not touch your face, which is hard to do, however, the bacteria from your hands and fingers will get into your pores and clog it.

Acne is also known as pimples. Generally this simple looking disease, which arrives so casually and unexpectedly, has clear cut intentions about your body. Any part could be its playground. It is capable of leaving cuts, scars and marks on the skin, if not controlled and properly treated, well in time. So, be highly alert, if you observe a swelling in your skin. Never try to experiment with it, arguing, ‘after all, it is my skin. Do not pop it.

Acne, whose scientific name is acne vulgaris, claims a fair share of adults, under its net. Adults have a wrong notion that it is the teenager’s malady only. It is not so. The prime reason of its occurrence, as quoted by Acne scientists and researchers, is that the skin pores get clogged causing the accumulation of fatty material from the oil gland or sebaceous gland. Do all the pores get affected by acne? No!

Why? The reason is not known. Scientists and the researchers are on the job. Much is said and written on the subject of acne. But they are as unreliable as the myth- mongers. Only they claim their scientific right to revise their earlier ‘unassailable scientific findings’, which become their new truth. Remember, someone else is busy in another laboratory, to negate the former version about acne. The difference between the researchers and the myth-mongers is that the former get paid for their findings, whether assertion or denial, and the later are left high and dry.

So, you have to take a practical view about your acne, and take certain basic precautions, once you feel signals of its arrival. Try to identify first, whether you have blackheads or whiteheads. Observe and experiment with judicious approach and commonsense, when it comes to treatment. It differs from person to person.

The habit of popping up the acne, is certain invitation to the scars. Know whether your acne is inflammatory or non-inflammatory. The later ones are difficult to identify, and here you need to consult the dermatologist, without taking any chances with the standard over-the-counter medicines. Caution is better than inviting complications. Rememberer, you have to rebuild the skin broken by acne. Your selection of diet, the line of treatment and above all, your patience is going to be tested.
