Imagine a day when acne is a disease of the past. Imagine the day when teenagers no suffer from the unsightly blight of acne. Imagine the day when adults no longer feel compromised in the workplace by their acne prone skin flaring up on the worst possible days.

That day is near. And that day is a certainty if the world were to embrace natural acne treatment, which is more rightly described as natural acne prevention.

Natural acne treatment is about prevention. Consider this analogy: the most natural way to avoid a wound to the skin becoming infected is to avoid the wound in the first place. And acne is essentially no different to an infected wound – acne begins with a wound that becomes infected.

Therefore, the best way to avoid acne is to prevent the wound – or damage to the skin – from occurring in the first place.

This damage to the skin begins by an unnatural state occurring in the body due to unnatural products being consumed by the individual.

The unnatural products that I am referring to are the products that the human body was not designed to handle. That is, the products that the human body did not evolve to be compatible with.

So, what are these products? In order to understand what these products are, one must understand the evolution of our species.

We as humans did most of our evolving between 200,000 and 100,000 years ago. During that time, our bodies evolved to suit the environment around us. That included the food that was available to us at the time.

Perhaps our single greatest advancement as a species came when we started to consume a greater proportion of meat in order to fuel the energy demands of our brain as it grew larger.

The point to note here is that it was eating meat, not carbohydrates, that allowed our brains to grow larger during out evolution.

One product that was certainly not around in vast quantities during this time was grain and other forms of carbohydrates such as potatoes. We simply either did not eat any of these products or only in small quantities when they came into season. The same was for fruit. Fruit and other sources of sugar such as honey were only available to us during certain times of the year or were a rarity.

Therefore, carbohydrates were the exception, not the rule, to the diet that we evolved with.

Nowadays, conventional wisdom promotes the idea that carbohydrates should make up 30-40 percent of ones daily food intake. This is however an intake of carbohydrates that our bodies were not designed to handle.

We love carbohydrates because they are full of energy. The problem with carbohydrates is that they are a source of fast energy. That is, when we eat carbohydrates they end up as blood sugar very quickly.

Our bodies respond to large quantities of carbohydrates by generating a large amount of insulin. And for the average modern meal, the amount of insulin that our bodies need to produce is far more than what our bodies were designed to handle.

High levels of insulin are the main cause for diabetes. High levels of insulin are also the main cause for acne. Insulin promotes the conversion of testosterone to dihydroxytestosterone (DHT) and DHT in turn stimulates the skins oil glands to produce excessive oil. This excessive oil cause the skin to rupture and bacteria infect the wound just as bacteria will infect any type of wound. This infection is otherwise known as acne.

So, quite logically, the best way to treat acne is to prevent it occurring in the first place. And the best way o prevent it occurring is to eliminate excessive insulin in ones body by eliminating excessive carbohydrates from ones diet.br

Acne is a condition that affects people of all ages all over the world; the only thing is that it chooses a specific time in human life to breakout. The common perception that acne is a teenagers problem is not entirely true because it affects about 25% of males and 50% of women.

Do you know that acne as a condition does not only affect the skin but sometimes it affects the mind. This does not mean it causes mental disorder, what it causes is depression in some people. The depression is usually caused by the excessive importance some people attach to their appearance.

The other forms of acne are Blackheads, whiteheads, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts but they are quite different from each other. Blackhead for instance is caused when the pores in the skin get partially choked. Their black look is not the result of the dirt trapped inside but comes from the melanin secreted by the skin.

Whiteheads on the other hand are caused by complete blockage of pores, and their white appearance is attributable to the bacteria inside, which causes the sebum to turn in to fatty acid. What is referred to as papules are nothing but small, tender, red spots or bumps while pustules are a little larger, inflamed spots that are filled with pus. They too appear red.

Cysts or nodules are large, hard bumps occur under the skin. But cysts are susceptible to infection and deep inflammation.

Any one suffering from acne of any type should seek the expert opinion of doctors ./pbr

Its important to me to find a way to get rid of pimples overnight. Now, Im no longer as young as I used to be. Im not a teenager anymore or even someone close to that age. In fact, I have a job. Im done with school. Im trying to work my way up the ladder. I have responsibilities, but thankfully I dont yet have a family to take care of. The thing is, Im somewhere between living a completely student related life and being a complete corporate employee. And in this current state Im in, the possibility of still somehow having to deal with acne or pimples really gets to me.

Again, Im not a teenager anymore, so I would have thought that my acne days or my days of having to deal with pimples, would already be behind me, but apparently theyre not. Oh, my skin is usually clear since I do try to take care of it and keep it clean. Nothing major but usually it gets the job done. But every once in a while I find myself waking up in the morning with a large zit or pimple on my forehead. And I really and truly hate it.

Its no picnic to have to go to work with something like that on your face. Of course, I should already be too old to feel self-conscious about something like that, but the reality is that it has an effect. People treat you a little differently when you have a huge pimple right smack at the top of your face. It can really be embarrassing, and dont even get me started on what some of the higher ups at work think when they spot something like that.

So at the end of the day, I look for a way to get rid of the pimple quickly. Im working now, so I can afford to spend a little on medication. Whats important is that it acts fast, because really after going through a whole day feeling like that, the last thing I want is to have to go through yet another day, much less a whole week, with that thing on my forehead.

Pimples are embarrassing whether youre a teenager or an adult. One would hope that after the teenage years pimples will no longer be a part of our lives, but that isnt necessarily true since adults can be plagued with ongoing acne as well as younger people.

Here are some acne tips for adults that just might prove helpful to you in enjoying clearer skin in the future.

1. Acne is often a hormonal problem, so you should check with your doctor to see what help he or she can offer you. Your doctor can prescribe antibiotics which may prove to be very helpful for your particular skin problems.

2. Watch what you eat so that you dont make your breakouts worse. Avoid fried and fatty foods and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.

3. Watch out that you dont overstress yourself in your daily life which can lead to fresh acne breakouts. Leave time in your busy schedule for recreational breaks.

4. Daily exercise is important. Its not only good for your whole body, but it is also good for your skin. Taking brisk walks is one of the best exercises that you can do.

5. To help you in your battle against pimples are numerous over-the-counter acne remedies that you can try. Be sure to stick with a specific brand long enough to see if it actually works and if it doesnt work, try another brand. This experimentation is necessary because everyone responds differently to available medications and youll need to discover the best one for you.

6. Avoid acne products that are made especially for teenagers since an adults skin is less elastic and shouldnt be excessively dried out.

7. Dont forget about the numerous natural acne remedies that are available, such as apple cider vinegar and herbal remedies. You can check out your local health food store to see what it has in the line of natural solutions.

8. Dont wear heavy coats of makeup to hide your pimples since that will only plug your pores more than ever. Be sure to remove the makeup at night so your skin gets a chance to breathe.

There are special remedies for adults who suffer with acne, but you will need to be persistent as you find out just the right treatment for you./pbr

It can be easy to get discouraged when trying to fight your acne. Sometimes it feels like you have tried just about everything to make those annoying blemishes go away. The product might work for a couple of days but in the end the acne always wins. Maybe you even tried out a few new products because your friend said they were great but it made the problem worse or maybe it didn’t do anything at all. It can be frustrating to say the least when even the products your friends recommend just don’t make the grade in killing off those zits for good.

Figuring out which product will work best for your acne prone skin is definitely one of the hardest parts about treating your acne. Looking at the shelves of products in the drugstore is overwhelming. They all have catch phrases like “blackhead fighting” but they don’t always deliver on their promises. So, what’s an acne sufferer to do?

Start off by reading the fine print on all of the acne fighting products you plan on buying. Figure out what type of skin you have and work with it instead of against it. If you have dry flaky skin consider a product with soothing aloe and moisturizers combined with the cleaning agent. If you have oily skin look for a cleanser that won’t add any more oil into the mix and won’t leave your skin feeling dry and tight.

Secondly, don’t get discouraged if the new product you bought doesn’t give you immediate results. It takes time so don’t expect it to happen overnight. In most cases it takes at least 7 days to see any results and even then they are only minimal. So it’s a case of rinse and repeat until you get the results you’re looking for.

Another option is to purchase acne treatments online or via the phone. Many products including Proactive solution are very popular these days. While they might not be right for you they are widely used and many people swear by them for not only getting rid of current acne but stopping it before it becomes a problem in the future.

In the end none of these products might work for you. If that’s the case change your diet and see if that helps. Experts recommend diets rich in fruits and vegetables or lean meats. It might not make a huge difference but when you have acne every little bit helps.

It always helps to seek the advice of a professional when dealing with acne and possible treatments. There are many procedures that your doctor can discuss including microderm abrasion and chemical peels. He may also recommend medication to help reduce acne although people are less and less likely to pop pills these days because of potential side effects from even the most “normal” medications. Have you ever read the potential side effects listed with most medicines? You’ll be shocked!

Knowing the key facts about your acne is essential in helping you deal with this annoying skin complaint. There’s no point starting off on a journey to cure your acne without at least some understanding of what is causing your problem in the first place.

What Is Acne?
The first step is to understand exactly what acne is. Acne is a skin condition which usually just affects teens but it’s not unusual to see acne affect people into their adult life. A friend of mine is still suffering from “teen” acne and she’s almost 30. So you can’t hope that acne will just happen during your teens – it could also follow you into later life.

What Causes Acne?
Acne doesn’t have just one single cause that you can easily figure out or track down. Despite what the root cause might be the actual mechanics of how acne happens is always the same. Oil produced to naturally lubricate your skin and protect it can block skin pores and allow an infection to build up underneath this blockage. This infection grows from being a minor bleamish to being a full blown spot or blackhead on your face very quickly (sometimes overnight).

You Are What You Eat!
Your diet can also be a factor in terms of causing acne for you. Too much saturated fat in your diet will leave your body with more fat than it can use properly. Try to cut down on the amount of fatty food and junk food that you eat. Your overall health will improve and this will really show through in the condition of your skin.

How Do You Get Rid Of Acne?
Treating your acne will depend on how severe it is and the actual root cause of the acne itself. For most people drinking plenty of water and following a proper skin care routine (washing and cleansing your skin twice each day) will be enough. For others it may require a visit to a dermatologist for further help.

Teenage acne is usually the type that most people are looking for help with. This type of acne is part of the growing process. A healthy diet, exercise, exposure to natural sunlight and proper skin care and cleansing are the key steps here.

Remember that regardless of how bad your acne is, there is always something you can do about it.
